We really like to paddle. Split Rock Outdoors is a small paddling community started by Jacob Shelley, Tim Robinson and Stefan Holvik. You'll find learning resources and some sharing about trips we've been on.
We plan and organize whitewater canoe trips with friends to share all the thrills and chills that rivers have to offer. After a while, we gave our little paddling club a name — Split Rock Outdoors. We feel that canoe tripping is the best outdoors experience possible, and whitewater trips are the best of those. We made this little site to share some upfront-learning with people we bring on trips.
If you've arrived here from out there on the internet, we're based in Southern Ontario Canada and all of the rivers we paddle (so far) are in Ontario and Quebec.

As you might have noticed, there are no ads on this site and there are no services offered. We're not a business and we don't make any money from this site. We just like to share whitewater tripping content. This site started as a mere list of things to talk about with novice paddlers and it evolved from there.
